May 15 – May 28 (Virtual / Key Largo, FL, USA)
The International Cassiopea Workshop brings together researchers from around the world to share research and ideas related to the Cassiopea system. The multidisciplinary meeting gathers scientists from diverse research backgrounds, with previous attendees having a wide arrary of expertise in symbiosis, behavior, fluid dynamics, etc. We encourage anyone to attend, even if they are new to the Cassiopea system, or are interested in utilizing Cassiopea for research. The workshops have been instrumental in the continued development of the model system for the growing community, and have led to new ideas and new collaborations. We emphasize attendance from any that are interested, including young researchers.
This year’s workshop will take place from May 15 – May 21 in a hybrid format. Talks will be held over three days, from May 19 – May 21. Those attending in person will have the option to spend one week prior to, or after the three seminar days, to collect samples and conduct experiments. Attendees will have access to a small lab (limited equipment), as well as a boat for water access to various sites around the Keys.
